Blog 2 Why did I choose this career?


Hello again, today I will write about my decision to choose political science as my career. It was a difficult decision because I was from the differentiated mathematical scientist in the school and my options for study was civil engineering, medicine, or medical technology. Political science was a last-minute decision and I chose because really like politics, social work, international relations, and power relations.

My experience in the university has been a very interesting, I liked the courses and the teachers. My classmates are very nice and the environment of the university it hasn´t been very stressful as everyone said.

When I was a child, I really liked the profession of teacher, the idea of teaching appealed to me a lot. I even played with my two sisters, I was the teacher and they the students.

My dream job would be in congress, in the municipality or something related with the social work. I would be passionate about helping the people who live under the unfair social system.

Finally I love the career and I don’t regret choosing it.

    Hello!! omg it`s so funny that both of us had wanted to be teacher as children and I'm very surprised that you came from a differentiated mathematical scientist.

    I also wanted to study medicine or engineering, but politics was more interesting. I love debating and conflict in a good sense of the word.

Blog 8 A subject I enjoy studying this semester

It has been a very difficult semester and different from what I was used to. It is not normal to be studying in the middle of a pandemic while there are so many crises in the country, but there is always something good to rescue. One of my favorite subjects this semester is "Methodology of Research in Political Science", here they teach us how to do research correctly. We had to choose a subject and develop this research step by step during the whole semester, currently I have 2 deliveries of the 4 that are in total. The research methods that we have been taught begin with how to choose a topic, know the central concepts and then establish the dependent and independent variables to begin building the research. Once this is done, we begin to develop hypotheses and focus on finding information and theories related to them. So far we have only developed the qualitative method where we had to interview people related to the central theme we chose, with the interviews we too...

My favorite series

  Hi, this time I'm going to write about one of my favorite series, it's called Outlander and I started it because a cousin recommended it to me, it's also on Netflix, so if you're looking for something to watch it has to be this series! It's a dramatic genre, based on the saga of Diana Gabaldon's levels and the plot is about Claire, a nurse in the 1945 post-World War II era, married to Frank Randall, who at the end of the war goes on a honeymoon to Scotland. Frank is a historian, and they travel to the places in the Highlands where their ancestors lived. Mysteriously Claire travels through time to 1743 where the English are invading Scotland and Claire meets the ancestor (her husband's great-great-grandfather) who is identical to Frank but very evil. Blog 6 Favourite music genre / musican.

I did not always like this style of music; it was only in 2015 that I discovered it and it is alternative or indie rock. I used to listen to a lot of pop and my favorite band was One Direction, it was a long time, I liked them a lot and I listened to them day and night. Now when I listen to them it brings back good memories but they broke up :(. The band is The Killers, I think they have an incredible musicality and the presentation in their videos is the best. My favorite song of The Killers by far is Mr Brightside, I recommend you to listen it, the video has an interesting plot and also has a continuation with another song in their video that is Shot At The Night. Other very good songs are Read My Mind or Indie, Rock And Roll. The truth is that before I didn't explore much about other genres but thanks to The Killers, I also started listening to Birdy which is indie but closer to pop.
